So now that RAIN is out...

I've kinda got a new idea, that looks a little something like this.

225/17 mph = 13.23 hours

7 am to 8 pm... hmmm.

That's a long frickin' ride.

Q: If you hit a deer between Terre Haute and Indy, how many would you hit between here and St. Louis?

A: Enough to make Bambi cry.

Very funny.

Is trenton really a destination? Don't you want to end up somewhere, well, nice? If you're going to bike 12+ hours, you want to see something when you get there besides 7 West.

You mean like Richmond Indiana?

It's the idea that I could bike from my house to my old house that makes me excited to do this..

I don't share your opinion of New Baden/Trenton (I think they're basically the same thing), I think people there talk only because there's nothing else to do... but that's my experience, not yours. So whatever. Grain of salt.

Or maybe you're right. Maybe I just don't pay attention. That's probably more likely.

ANYWAY... yeah. I prefer to ride somewhere where someone might be impressed with the feat, and I can eat a decent meal and fall asleep. Sounds like Trenton to me.

This would definitely make The Trenton Sun and maybe Locko would give you a free WHS t-shirt.

I think it sounds pretty neat...but you know you can drive that right?

Also, my opinion is that Trenton is the best place to grow up and have a family. I lived in Fairview Heights, which some say is a bigger Trenton, and it was nice because everything was so close. But it kind of sucked because everything was so close...and it doesn't get dark in Fairview and that sucks. And in the two years I lived there, I only got to know the people that lived in the other half of the duplex. I had much the same feelings about living in St. Louis that I did in Fairview. That's why we moved back to Trenton. And now with the baby on the way, I'm so glad we did. Nothing like driving .5 miles to get to the in-laws or .8 miles to my parents' house if we need anything. I also know that you can't find a better school system than Wesclin. It's one of only 3 schools in the state that has all grades in the same district and all grade levels rank in the top 5 in testing in the state.
The bad part? I drive 50 miles each way to work...but it's worth it to me.
