ladies and gentlemen, bruce arena.

SI.com: Who do you think should be the next U.S. coach?

Arena: I don't care, and it's none of my business.

SI.com: You care about the U.S. team, don't you?

Arena: Oh yeah. They're going to win the next World Cup, from what I'm told. So I wish them the best. Because we did so poorly over the last eight years, I'm sure they're going to win the next World Cup.

I'll always be thankful to Bruce Arena for 2002. Always.

But I will never forgive him for the total lack of class he showed in 2006, and how arrogant he was and how unprepared he had his team this summer.

He fancies himself as much more important in the grand scheme of things than he is, and I will root for him to fail in all future endeavors.

I almost sound as bitter as him right now.

I think I'm going to wait to see how things go before I pass judgement... maybe he's right, in which case watching the national team isn't going to be very fun.. so I hope he's wrong.

But we'll have to wait and see.

Wow, that's as well as I've heard it put. I am as bitter as he is, by the way...
